Headphones
A. Basic Questions
1. What are GEAROPT water-sports bone conduction headphones?
GEAROPT water-sports bone conduction headphones are open-ear headphones designed for swimming, diving-related use, water sports, training and everyday movement. They use bone conduction technology to deliver sound while keeping your ears open for better awareness.
2. How are they different from normal Bluetooth earbuds?
Unlike in-ear earbuds, GEAROPT headphones do not block the ear canal. They sit near your cheekbones and transmit sound through vibration, making them more suitable for water sports and outdoor activities where awareness and comfort matter.
3. Who are they designed for?
They are designed for swimmers, water-sports users, snorkeling users, diving-related users, outdoor athletes and people who want one headset for both wet and dry training environments.
4. Can I use Bluetooth underwater?
No. Bluetooth does not transmit reliably underwater. For swimming or underwater use, please switch to MP3 mode and play music directly from the built-in storage.
5. Why should I use MP3 mode for swimming?
Water weakens Bluetooth signals. MP3 mode lets you play music directly from the headphones, so you do not need to keep your phone nearby while swimming or using the headphones underwater.
6. What is the difference between the 20m and 50m versions?
The 20m version is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, pool training and general water-sports use. The 50m version is designed for users who need a higher waterproof depth rating for more demanding diving-related and water-sports environments.
7. Can I use them in seawater?
Yes. After seawater use, rinse the headphones gently with fresh water and dry them completely before charging or storage.
8. Can I wear them with goggles, swim caps or diving masks?
Yes. The open-ear neckband design is made to work with most goggles, swim caps and water-sports gear. Fit may vary by head shape and equipment thickness, so adjust the position before entering the water.
9. Can I make phone calls underwater?
No. Phone calls require Bluetooth and microphone performance, which are designed for land or surface use. Underwater use should rely on MP3 playback.
10. How should I clean them after saltwater or pool use?
Rinse gently with fresh water, wipe with a soft cloth and let the headphones dry completely. Make sure the charging contacts are fully dry before charging.
11. Are they suitable for running, cycling and gym training too?
